HIBISCUS COAST QUILTERS

We are a community group, who meet to share our work, both personal and for the community. Our purpose is to encourage anyone of any skill level, old or young enough to give it a go, who wants to share with like-minded people who enjoy patchwork, applique and quilting. Everything from traditional to art quilts get to be worked on. We supply ‘heart cushions’ for post-surgical cardiac patients, community quilts to selected charity organisations and run a biennial quilt show to showcase our best work over the past two years. We also run classes and community quilt days for our members, amongst other activities.
We will have work on display in the Library meeting room, with members present who will be working on small projects and demonstrating some of the skills used in putting together pieced fabric articles. (It’s not just quilts.) If you have questions, our members will try to answer them, or will pass them on to our more expert quilters.
